Arsenal are poised to launch a bid to sign Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata, according to a report.

The Blues are reportedly close to sealing a move for Anzhi Makhachkala midfielder Willian, which could see the Spaniard fall in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.

Arsene Wenger wanted to sign the 25-year-old before the Blues secured a deal in 2011 and is keen to try again to seal a move for the midfielder, reports The People.

Arsenal are also reportedly set to return with an improved offer for Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye.
