Fernando Torres has revealed his delight after finally completing his 'dream return' to Atletico Madrid.
The Spaniard recently completed a permanent move from Chelsea to AC Milan, but has now been sent on loan to the Spanish champions until the end of next season.
The 30-year-old represented Atletico's first team between 2001 and 2007, scoring 91 times in 244 games before joining Liverpool.
"When Atletico appeared I didn't have any doubts. I want to thank Milan because they made it easier to find a solution and I'm going to Atletico in search of happiness," he told reporters.
"As a child my dream was to play for Atletico and to go back now is another dream I've completed.
"People know it's my home and I've felt the sadness at their defeats and also the joy of their successes. I've jumped off the couch at them and nobody can doubt how I'll feel when I pull on that shirt again. The Atletico fans always ask that you leave everything out on the pitch and I can assure them I'll be doing that and much more."
Torres initially joined Milan on loan from Chelsea in the summer, but struggled to hold down a regular spot at San Siro.
