Barcelona defender Douglas has revealed that he is ready to fight for a first-team position in the new campaign.
The Brazilian joined Barca from Sao Paulo in January, but only made two league appearances in the second half of the season and was regularly left out of the squad.
The 24-year-old played the full 90 minutes of Barca's 2-1 win over Los Angeles Galaxy in Tuesday's pre-season friendly, however, and has said that he is now ready to reproduce his best form in Spain.
"I feel good, calm. I know I can get to where the coach wants and I feel at home," AS quotes the Brazilian as saying.
"I know I have to improve. The coach asked me to be the player I showed in Brazil. I don't want to leave. Last season it was more than a mental problem. I suffered injuries that hurt my integration into the team."
Douglas has been strongly linked with a move away from Camp Nou this summer.
