Angel di Maria: 'I want to stay at Paris Saint-Germain'

Angel di Maria admits that he struggled with life under manager Unai Emery at times last season, but is determined to stick around at Paris Saint-Germain.

Paris Saint-Germain attacker Angel di Maria has stressed that he is not interested in talk of a move away from the club as he is in "no doubt" that he wants to stay.

Italian side Inter Milan are said to be weighing up a £43m move for the Argentina international, while Barcelona were also tipped to make an offer earlier this summer.

Di Maria admits that he struggled to adapt to the workload of boss Unai Emery last season, but he is content with life in the French capital and sees no real reason to leave the Parc des Princes ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.

"For me, there's no doubt about it. I want to stay," Goal.com quotes him as saying. "But, for the club, I don't know. The reality is that my family are well and I'm happy in Paris.

"I know that not everything went well last season. At first, I didn't quite understand what the coach was asking me. Then we gradually got to know each other and I think people have seen the change in the last few months. I hope I can reproduce that this year."

Di Maria played 43 times for PSG in all competitions last season, scoring 14 goals and assisting eight.
