Barcelona 'agree £16m-a-year Lautaro Martinez contract'

Barcelona agree personal terms with Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez ahead of a potential summer move, according to a report.

Barcelona have reportedly already agreed personal terms with Lautaro Martinez ahead of a potential move for the Inter Milan striker during this summer's transfer window.

The Spanish champions have allegedly identified the Argentina international as an ideal replacement for Luis Suarez, who is seemingly entering the latter stages of his time at Camp Nou.

Real Madrid have also been credited with an interest in Martinez, but according to Tuttosport, Barca have now struck an agreement over personal terms, with the South American set to pick up £16m a year should he arrive at Camp Nou ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

The report claims that Martinez is in line to collect the same salary as Antoine Griezmann, although Quique Setien's side must still come to an agreement with the Italian giants over a transfer fee.

Arthur, Carles Alena, Jean-Clair Todido and Nelson Semedo have all been mentioned as potential makeweights in order to convince Inter to drop their £94m asking price.

The 22-year-old has been in impressive form for Antonio Conte's side during the current season, finding the back of the net on 16 occasions in 31 appearances in all competitions.
