Barcelona 'to move for Ricardo Rodriguez'

Barcelona eye a summer swoop for AC Milan defender Ricardo Rodriguez, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly considering a summer swoop for AC Milan defender Ricardo Rodriguez.

The Spanish champions are said to be in the market for a new left-back this summer to both support and provide competition for Jordi Alba at Camp Nou.

According to Diario Sport, Rodriguez has emerged as a transfer target for Ernesto Valverde's side, with Milan prepared to sell the 27-year-old in this summer's transfer window.

Rodriguez, who moved to the San Siro from Wolfsburg in 2017, contributed four assists in 41 appearances in all competitions for Milan during the 2018-19 campaign.

The defender only missed three of his club's Serie A matches last term, meanwhile, and has been a key player for the Italian giants over the last couple of seasons.

Arsenal have also reportedly been offered the chance to sign Rodriguez this summer as part of Milan's bid for Uruguay midfielder Lucas Torreira.
