Blackpool manager Lee Clark has described Nile Ranger's recent comments over his contract situation as "nonsense".
AWOL striker Ranger, who hasn't been at the club since November, claimed that Blackpool "took the mick" with a pay-as-you-play deal.
"Mr Ranger knew the contract he was signing and all this nonsense is totally unprofessional," Clark responded in the Blackpool Gazette. "They are people I don't want in and around my club at all."
Ranger has previously had his contract terminated at Newcastle United and Swindon Town and Clark believes that further managers will be disappointed.
"I'm not the first and I won't be the last to be let down by Nile," added Clark.
"The issue seems to be to point the finger elsewhere. Everybody from Southampton, to Newcastle, to Swindon and now Blackpool are all wrong and Nile is right.
"There's a talented boy there but it's not just about being a footballer – it's about being a supreme athlete and being the best you can be."
Blackpool will be playing football in League One next season as they are rooted to the bottom of the Championship.
