Bordeaux reportedly want Claudio Ranieri as their new manager if they are snubbed by Belgium second assistant coach Thierry Henry.
Eric Bedouet is currently serving as the caretaker manager of the Ligue 1 club, picking up three points from the same number of games in the new season.
However, The Mirror reports that chairman Stephane Martin held talks with Henry over the permanent managerial position on Sunday.
The report adds that the club are keeping tabs on former Bordeaux coach Ricardo, as well as Henry, as backup choices.
Meanwhile, L'Equipe claims that disagreements over a transfer budget have caused negotiations with Henry to stall, meaning that Bordeaux may now turn their attention to Ranieri.
