Doncaster Rovers could give their hopes of Championship survival a timely boost with a victory away to Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
Rovers fell to a costly 1-0 defeat at the hands of fellow strugglers Yeovil Town in their last outing, leaving them just three points clear of the relegation zone and five above bottom of the league.
Charlton Athletic, who currently occupy the place immediately below the dreaded dotted line, have the luxury of three games in hand of Doncaster, making their league position even more perilous.
Rovers have now gone four matches without a victory and have failed to score in three of those games, with the only exception being their 2-2 draw at home to Barnsley.
Away from home things look even worse for Paul Dickov's side, who have not won in their last 12 matches on the road, picking up just three points from a possible 36 on offer during that spell.
Only Barnsley and Millwall have amassed fewer points on their travels than Doncaster this season, although Rovers have played an away game more than both of those teams.
The visitors will still be without Billy Sharp through suspension, while captain Rob Jones has also been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a neck injury.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, have found themselves slipping down the table in recent weeks and are in danger of getting caught up in a relegation battle if things don't improve soon.
They have also gone four matches without a victory, leaving them in 17th place and nine points above the bottom three. However, they do have a game in hand over the four teams directly below them in the table, so the threat of the drop is not quite an immediate one just yet.
Eddie Howe's side shouldn't need too many more points to confirm their Championship status for another season, but he will be keen to get to safety as early as possible, and Saturday's match represents a good chance to return to winning ways.
They have won just one of their last five home matches, but only leaders Leicester City have managed to beat them during that run, while Bournemouth have claimed points off playoff hopefuls such as Ipswich Town, Watford and Burnley.
Yann Kermorgant may be forced to settle for a place on the bench once again as he awaits his first start for the team, while Charlie Daniels and Elliot Ward remain injury doubts.
