Brighton have experienced an underwhelming start to the WSL season, having picked up just three points from their opening four matches.

The Seagulls claimed all of those points on the opening day of the campaign when they claimed a narrow 2-1 away victory over Everton.

Although they were able to beat Birmingham City in last month's League Cup meeting, Brighton have gone on to lose three consecutive games in the WSL.

Their first defeat of the campaign took place against West Ham United, before they lost out to Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea despite taking the lead in both of those fixtures.

With the Seagulls sitting in ninth position, they will be keen to move up the table this weekend, but having lost their last four home matches in the WSL, picking up a positive result could prove difficult.

Man United will focus on domestic action for the remainder of the season after their first-ever Women's Champions League campaign was brought to an end by Paris Saint-Germain in the final round of qualifying.

A draw and a defeat in their two legs against the Parisians formed part of a four-game winless run (D3, L1), but fortunately for the Red Devils, they were able to return to winning ways in their final game before the international break.

Marc Skinner's side showed no lack of confidence in their away meeting with Everton, as Nikita Parris and Rachel Williams grabbed two goals apeice after Melvine Malard had opened the scoring, ensuring that Man United ran out comfortable 5-0 winners.

Having picked up eight points from their opening four matches, the Red Devils head into the weekend in fourth position with two points separating them from top spot.

Man United, who are one of three teams yet to lose a WSL game this season, have performed well in recent matches against the Seagulls, having won the last five competitive head-to-head meetings.

Team News

Brighton goalkeeper Sophie Baggaley is expected to retain her place in the side after putting in an impressive performance against Chelsea.

Summer signing Jocelyn Carabali, who made her debut in the defeat to the WSL champions, could also keep her spot in the starting lineup.

Elisabeth Terland dropped down to the bench for the away meeting with Chelsea, but Brighton's top scorer is set to return to the side for Sunday's contest.

As for Man United, Gabby George and Emma Watson are sidelined with anterior cruciate ligament injuries, and they are joined in the treatment room by Aoife Mannion.

They are also unable to call upon midfielder Irene Guerrero, who is set to be out for the next two weeks due to a knee issue.

Hayley Ladd, Leah Galton and Geyse all missed the commanding win over Everton before the international break, but the trio will be fit to take part in Sunday's contest.

Brighton & Hove Albion Women possible starting lineup:
Baggaley; Thorisdottir, Bergsvand, Carabali; Li, Losada, Pinto, Pattinson; Robinson, Bremer, Terland

Manchester United Women possible starting lineup:
Earps; Riviere, Le Tissier, Turner, Blundell; Ladd, Zelem; Garcia, Toone, Galton; Geyse

We say: Brighton & Hove Albion Women 1-3 Manchester United Women

Having won their last five games against Brighton, the Red Devils will be the favourites to secure all three points on Sunday, and while the Seagulls could trouble the scorers, we believe that Man United will showcase their quality to secure an away victory.
