After winning promotion last term, Bristol City have found it tough to compete in the top flight after winning just one of their 19 league games this season (D3, L15).
Since drawing 2-2 with Aston Villa in February, the Robins have gone on to lose six consecutive games, including last Saturday's home meeting with Liverpool.
Marie Hobinger scored the only goal of the game to condemn Lauren Smith's side to a narrow 1-0 defeat, leaving them seven points adrift of 11th-placed West Ham United with just three games left to play.
Bristol City will be relegated this weekend if they fail to beat Man City, while a win may not be enough if West Ham claim all three points against Aston Villa.
Having lost all of their nine home league games this season, the Robins will have to produce something special to surprise Man City on Sunday.

Man City are currently sitting top of the WSL table after claiming a 13th consecutive league win in last Sunday's clash with West Ham.
Leila Ouahabi opened the scoring inside the first minute, before Bunny Shaw netted a brace to give Man City an unassailable half-time lead.
Laura Blindkilde Brown and Jess Park grabbed a goal apiece in the second period to wrap up a dominant 5-0 victory at the Joie Stadium.
Having picked up 49 points from 19 matches, Man City are sitting three points clear of second-placed Chelsea, who have one game in hand.
With Chelsea in Champions League action this weekend, the Citizens have the chance to extend their lead to six points as they continue to dream of winning their second WSL title.

As for the visitors, they have confirmed that Shaw will miss the rest of the season after the WSL top scorer suffered a foot injury last weekend.
Shaw's injury could see Chloe Kelly come into the side to feature in a front three alongside Mary Fowler and Lauren Hemp.
Man City boss Gareth Taylor is also unable to call upon the services of Ellie Roebuck, Sandy MacIver and Jill Roord.

Man City cruised to a commanding 5-0 win in October's reverse fixture, and we think that they ease to another comfortable victory to condemn Bristol City to the second tier.
