In the second half, Rennes came within inches of taking the lead when Sylvain Armand fired an effort at goal, but saw his strike saved by Vercoutre. Sio latched on to the rebound, but he was denied by the post from a tight angle.
Doucoure almost found the breakthrough when he raided down the left and fired a low effort towards the bottom corner, but Vercoutre made a good save to his right.

The home side went ahead in the 63rd minute through a calamitous error from Vercoutre as he allowed Quintero's tame effort to trickle through his legs into the net.
Jordan Adeoti almost brought Caen level after he made a surging run down the left flank and his strike was deflected inches past the post.
From the resulting corner, Ben Youssef found the net with a close-range volley as he was left unmarked from Julien Feret's cross into the box.
Rennes pushed late in the game in search of a winner but the visitors held out for the draw, which leaves them in third place in the table, while the home side move up one spot to ninth.
