Juan Mata dismisses talk of a potential return to Stamford Bridge for Jose Mourinho, insisting that the club should focus on the current campaign.

Chelsea forward Juan Mata has dismissed reports linking Jose Mourinho with a return to Stamford Bridge, insisting that the club have to stay focused this season.

Interim manager Rafael Benitez is expected to leave the Blues at the end of the season, leading to rumours of a potential return for Mourinho.

The Portuguese coach has hinted at a return to a former club, though Mata believes that all talk should wait until the current campaign has ended.

"They (Chelsea) keep fond memories of Mourinho," Mata told Movistar.

"They did very well, won titles and the fans will keep a great memory. But today Mourinho is the coach of Real Madrid and Benitez of Chelsea. We have to be focused on that."

Mata joined Chelsea in 2011 from Valencia.
