Jose Mourinho hints at a potential return to one of his former clubs when he finally leaves Real Madrid.

Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has hinted at a potential return to one of his former clubs when he leaves Spain.

The Portuguese coach is rumoured to be leaving the La Liga giants at the end of the season.

Mourinho has previously indicated that a move to an English club will be his next step, leaving the door open for a return to Chelsea, who will be looking for a new manager this summer.

"Everyone knows I have an adventurous spirit," The Sun quotes Mourinho as saying.

"It's not easy for my family. We'll see what happens. After England, Portugal, Italy and Spain, it's not easy to find a new destination.

"It could be a destination where I have coached before. There are things that may be about to happen no one could imagine."

Mourinho took over as manager at the Santiago Bernabeu in 2010 after a successful spell at Inter Milan.
