Mark Hughes says that Anton Ferdinand will make his "own decision" with regards to shaking hands with John Terry before QPR and Chelsea's FA Cup match.

Mark Hughes has stated that he will leave Anton Ferdinand to decide on whether to shake hands with Chelsea captain John Terry.

Queens Park Rangers face the Blues for an FA Cup fourth-round clash at Loftus Road for the first time since Terry was charged with racially abusing Ferdinand during the West London derby in October.

While Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has urged the QPR centre-back to shake hands with his skipper, Hughes has claimed that he isn't getting involved.

"If [Ferdinand] feels it is not appropriate, that has to be his own decision," said Hughes. "It won't be influenced by myself or the club."

Both players are expected to start for their respective clubs when they go head to head tomorrow.
