Romelu Lukaku is reportedly undergoing his Chelsea medical ahead of a £97.5m switch from Inter Milan.
The Belgian became the Blues' top transfer target after they were priced out of a move for Erling Braut Haaland, with Thomas Tuchel desperate to add more firepower to his attacking line.
Chelsea are understood to have agreed a £97.5m fee with Inter to bring Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge, where he represented the Blues for three years before leaving with no goals to his name.
Now, Sky Sports News reports that the former Everton and Manchester United man is taking the first part of his Chelsea medical in Milan before putting pen to paper on a five-year deal.
Lukaku can reportedly look forward to a yearly salary of £11m in the English capital, and former Blues striker Didier Drogba seemingly confirmed the 28-year-old's return on social media over the weekend.
Lukaku leaves Inter having scored 64 goals in 95 appearances across all competitions, including 24 from 36 Serie A games during the Nerazzurri's Scudetto-winning 2020-21 season.
