Dundee United boss Jackie McNamara: 'We were too nervous'

Dundee United boss Jackie McNamara admits that his side need to work harder to break opponents down.

Dundee United boss Jackie McNamara has suggested that nerves were to blame after watching his side surrender a lead to draw 1-1 against Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Premiership.

Josh Meekings cancelled out Billy McKay's opener to leave the Terrors with no wins in their last six matches in all competitions.

"You see nerves creeping in. We need to use the ball better than we did. Like last week, you're scratching your head. We need belief to go and get that second goal," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.

The result leaves United second from bottom in the table, while Inverness are in ninth.
