Eintracht Frankfurt fail to return to the top four in the Bundesliga table as they are comfortably beaten at Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Eintracht Frankfurt failed to return the top four in the Bundesliga table this evening as they were comfortably beaten at Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Armin Veh's men started brightly, but the game turned dramatically on 34 minutes when Karim Matmour picked up a second yellow card for a poor tackle on Stefan Reisinger.

The hosts were ahead just four minutes later, Reisinger coolly finishing low from 16 yards following a clever through-ball by Adam Bodzek.

Oliver Fink doubled the lead just before half time with a fierce left-footed strike from long range.

Nando Rafael tapped home from six yards to end the game as a contest 13 minutes into the second period, before Axel Bellinghausen completed the rout five minutes from time.
