The newly-promoted side might have grabbed a shock lead in the opening stages, but Samir Handanovic moved well to deny frontman Danilo Soddimo on the volley.
Inter were not at their creative best in the first period, although they were able to take a lead into the break thanks to Biabiany, who followed up neatly on a rebound from Stevan Jovetic's shot.
Roberto Mancini's side were improved after the interval and they found a second goal in the 53rd minute, this time as Adem Ljajic combined superbly with Icardi in order to hand the striker an easy finish.
The visitors might have snatched a route back into the game not long after, only for Nicolas Castillo to be denied by a standout interception from Murillo inside the area.
Inter's Biabiany should have earned himself a brace late on but for a block on the line, before Murillo returned three minutes from time to cap off a memorable personal display with a third goal for the hosts.
The scoring action was not over just yet, however, as Inter substitute Marcelo Brozovic added a fourth for La Beneamata during injury time and just minutes after being introduced, leaving the final score at 4-0.
