Under-pressure boss Nuri Sahin needs his Borussia Dortmund side to beat Holstein Kiel in the Bundesliga on Tuesday when they travel to Holstein-Stadion.
The home team are second last in 17th place with eight points from 16 matches and occupy one of two automatic relegation spots, while BVB are eighth with 25 points and were beaten 3-2 by champions Bayer Leverkusen on Friday.
We say: Holstein Kiel 2-3 Borussia Dortmund
If Dortmund come into the clash with several first-team starters missing due to illness, Holstein Kiel could have an opportunity to boost their survival chances.
However, Sahin's side still managed to score twice against the champions, and their attacking firepower could help them escape Holstein-Stadion with three points.

Bayer Leverkusen will hope to continue applying pressure to first-placed Bayern Munich when they host Mainz 05 at BayArena on Tuesday in their 17th Bundesliga game of the season.
The champions are second with 35 points, four behind leaders Bayern, after beating Borussia Dortmund 3-2 on Friday, whereas their opponents are in fifth place with 28 points and triumphed 2-0 against VfL Bochum on Saturday.
We say: Bayer Leverkusen 2-1 Mainz 05
Mainz are unlikely to be beaten easily on Tuesday, and it would not be surprising if the game was a closely fought contest.
Leverkusen should be considered slight favourites given their excellent home record, and they could find joy during counter-attacks if Mainz are forced to push further forward in the event that the hosts take the lead.

Eintracht Frankfurt will hope to continue their winning start to 2025 when they welcome Freiburg to Deutsche Bank Park on Tuesday in their 17th Bundesliga match of the campaign.
The hosts beat St Pauli 1-0 on Saturday and are third with 30 points, while Freiburg emerged as 3-2 victors against Holstein Kiel on January 11 and are sixth with 27 points after 16 matchweeks.
We say: Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 Freiburg
Eintracht Frankfurt's home record is strong despite their loss last time out at Deutsche Bank Park, and they should be considered favourites.
Having said that, the Eagles' performance against St Pauli was far from perfect, and if they perform similarly on Tuesday, then Freiburg will undoubtedly create chances.

Wolfsburg vs. Borussia M'bach (Tuesday, 7.30pm)

Wolfsburg are set to host Borussia Monchengladbach at Volkswagen Arena on Tuesday in their 17th Bundesliga fixture of the season.
The home team are 10th in the table with 24 points and started 2025 with a 1-0 victory against Hoffenheim on Saturday, while Die Fohlen are in 11th place, level on points with their hosts, but they were beaten 1-0 by Bayern Munich on Saturday.
We say: Wolfsburg 3-1 Borussia Monchengladbach
Wolfsburg's strong home form and efficiency in front of goal should make them favourites to claim all three points on Tuesday.
Additionally, Borussia Monchengladbach were fortunate to not concede multiple times last time out, and their away record suggests that they could struggle to assert themselves at Volkswagen Arena.
