Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy has revealed that five out-of-contract players have not yet been offered new deals by the club.
Darren Ambrose, Paul Anderson, Elliott Hewitt, Noel Hunt and Stephen Hunt look set to leave the Tractor Boys this summer.
McCarthy said in an interview with the club website that Wales Under-21 Hewitt was definitely on his way, but that the other four could return later this summer.
Speaking of those who could still earn a new contract, McCarthy said: "I'm going away on holiday, they are going away and I've told them I want to see what is around. They will be doing the same as well.
"There is an element of freshening things up. We need to go again and you need fresh faces to do that so we will see what happens with those lads.
"I have not closed the door on those players. They are great lads. We might be good for them. They might be good for us but there is nothing happening with them at the moment."
Ipswich will be in the Championship for a 14th straight season next term after losing to arch-rivals Norwich City in the playoff semi-finals on Saturday.
