Juventus have reportedly considered launching a move to sign Borussia Dortmund's Ilay Gundogan before the end of the transfer window.
Gundogan was rumoured to be a target for Manchester United earlier in the summer, but it appeared he would be spending at least one more season in the Bundesliga after signing a new two-year contract.
However, TuttoMercatoWeb claims that Juventus are interested in taking the 24-year-old away from Dortmund following the news that summer signing Sami Khedira faces an extended spell on the sidelines.
Massimiliano Allegri has seen his midfield change quickly this summer after the departures of Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal, who joined New York City FC and Bayern Munich respectively.
Gundogan hinted last week that he would consider signing another extension with Dortmund.
