Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre believes that the club should take credit for their academy following the emergence of seven youngsters into the first team.
During the season, Conor Coady, Andre Wisdom, Jerome Sinclair, Adam Morgan, Suso, Samed Tesil and Jordan Ibe made their senior debuts.
"Both [owner] John Henry and [chairman] Tom Werner have been to the academy and they see it as a pipeline to success," Ayre told the Liverpool Echo. "You can't really put a price on it.
"How do you put a price on the contribution we've had over the years from Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher? The owners are hugely supportive and see great value in the work that's done at the academy."
Meanwhile, reports have claimed that the club have agreed a £7.7m fee for Celta Vigo forward Iago Aspas.
