Reds boss says blame lies with Italian for red card

Dalglish: 'Balotelli should look in the mirror'

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has said that Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has only himself to blame for his red card at Anfield.

The Italian saw red after he elbowed Reds defender Martin Skrtl during the sides' 1-1 draw on Sunday afternoon.

However, City boss Roberto Mancini claimed that the Liverpool players talked the referee into sending off the 21-year-old.

"I think Balotelli got himself sent off," said Dalglish. "Sometimes if you look in the mirror, you get the answer.

"He doesn't help himself. If you help yourself, you don't get in that situation in the first place."

Balotelli allegedly damaged the door of the away dressing room after his dismissal.
