Manchester City are expected to battle Liverpool for the right to sign Burnley striker Danny Ings, according to reports.
The 22-year-old, whose contract at Turf Moor expires in the summer, has allegedly been on the Reds' radar for a number of months.
However, The Daily Mail claims that the Etihad Stadium outfit have made contact with Ings's representatives, as the young Englishman would help boost their homegrown quota.
Real Sociedad, managed by former Manchester United boss David Moyes, are also said to be interested in the Clarets forward.
