West Ham United have reportedly held fresh talks over a potential deal to sign RB Leipzig forward Andre Silva.
The Hammers are in desperate need of a new forward, having seen their current options hit by injuries to Niclas Fullkrug and Jarrod Bowen.
Michail Antonio is also unavailable for selection, with the striker set to miss the remainder of the season after he suffered a leg fracture in a road traffic accident in December.
A recent report claimed that West Ham had made initial enquiries over a move for Silva after they identified the Leipzig man as a possible target.
According to journalist Florian Plettenburg, West Ham have held fresh talks on Thursday over a deal to sign Silva on loan until the end of the season.
The update states that a 'decisive round of negotiations' will take place on Friday, with Silva also attracting interest from a number of other Bundesliga clubs.
West Ham could turn their focus to Ajax's Brian Brobbey if they fail to reach an agreement to sign the Portuguese striker.

Brighton open Tzimas talks
Down on the South Coast, Brighton have reportedly started negotiations over a move to sign Liverpool-linked Stefanos Tzimas.
Tzimas is currently plying his trade in the German second tier after joining Nuremberg on loan from PAOK in the summer transfer window.
The 19-year-old has been in fine form this season, racking up nine goals in 15 league appearances, including strikes in his last two appearances against Karlsruhe and Eintracht Braunschweig.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Liverpool were making an effort to strike a deal for the Greece Under-21 international.
The Reds could now face competition from Brighton, with Football Insider reporting that the Seagulls have opened talks over a possible move.
The report suggests that Brighton could look to agree a £20m move for the highly-rated forward, who is attracting interest from clubs around Europe.
However, negotiations could be made slightly trickier by the fact that Nuremberg have the option to convert his loan move into a permanent deal.
There is a possibility that the German club could take up that option, before swiftly selling Tzimas to make a quick profit on their investment.

Brentford make first January addition
Meanwhile, Brentford have made Fiorentina defender Michael Kayode their first addition of the winter transfer window.
The Bees have signed Kayode on an initial loan deal until the end of the season, with the option to make the move permanent for around £14m.
"I'm so excited because I wanted to come here so much," Kayode told Brentford's media channels. "I think Brentford is the perfect club for me. I love the stadium, the fans and my teammates.
"I want to work match by match but my dream with Brentford would be to help them reach European competitions next season."
The 20-year-old will hope to gain regular playing time under Thomas Frank after he was restricted to six starts in 12 competitive appearances this season.
Commenting on Kayode's arrival, Frank said: "A very good signing I think. I really like him and I'm very happy that we managed to sign him to give us a little bit more depth in the full-back positions.
"He's very talented and is a fantastic physical package. He's got good ability going forward and is very good defensively."
Kayode will bolster the right side of Brentford's defence, and there is a possibility that his arrival could affect Mads Roerslev's future.
The Danish full-back has been linked with a move away from the Gtech Community Stadium, amid speculation that Wolfsburg have been in talks over a potential deal.
