Borussia Dortmund confident of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang stay

Borussia Dortmund head coach Thomas Tuchel is "totally confident" that striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will remain at the club amid reports of a move to Manchester City.

Borussia Dortmund have expressed 'total confidence' in retaining the services of striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The 27-year-old Gabon international, who is contracted to the Bundesliga club until 2020, has been linked with a move to Manchester City.

"Right now he is our player, he stays our player," Dortmund head coach Thomas Tuchel said of Aubameyang, who scored 25 league goals for the Bundesliga club last season.

"I am totally confident [he will stay]. He is a huge personality for us. Right now, I would say he stays but I can't predict the future."

Dortmund and Man City will play each other in the International Champions Cup in China on Thursday, but Aubameyang will not feature as he has flown home to be with his pregnant wife.
