Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Wayne Rooney has recovered from his bout of tonsillitis in time to play against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.
The England striker missed the defeat to Norwich City last weekend and was then rested for United's Champions League loss to Galatasaray to try to fight off the illness.
Meanwhile, Ferguson has revealed that Chris Smalling and Jonny Evans are fitness doubts and Nani will definitely miss the visit of the Hoops.
"Wayne Rooney is fit. He had tonsillitis but has been training all week, which is good," said the Scot.
"Nani is not available yet, he's not fit yet. He's still got a little problem with his hamstring.
"Jonny Evans will hopefully train today but I don't know if he will be available for tomorrow. Chris Smalling had a small shoulder injury on Tuesday night."
Rangers could be managerless for the meeting after sacking Mark Hughes earlier today. Harry Redknapp is expected to succeed the Welshman, but not in time to take charge for the trip to Old Trafford.
