Manchester United are reportedly at the head of the queue for Rosenborg's Sverre Nypan, but the attacker allegedly wants assurances over game time before committing to join the 20-time English champions.
Nypan, 17, is regarded as one of the best young talents in world football, already representing Rosenborg's first team on 58 occasions in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and registering 11 assists in the process.
A host of clubs have been credited with an interest in the youngster, but Man United are said to be in a strong position, with new Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim believed to be a huge admirer of him.
According to GIVEMESPORT, Nypan could become Amorim's first signing at Old Trafford, with the Premier League giants keen to secure his signature during the January transfer window.
However, it is being reported that the teenager wants assurances over the amount of first-team football that he will receive before deciding which club to join.

Man United 'lead the race' for Rosenborg teenager Nypan
Man United are said to have been scouting Nypan throughout the season, with Amorim believed to view him as a player capable of operating as one of the wide players in his 3-4-3 formation.
Nypan has been in impressive form for Rosenborg during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring seven goals and registering 10 assists in 31 appearances in all competitions.
The youngster has shown his versatility by operating in a number of different positions this term, but the majority of his action has come as a central midfielder, making his numbers in terms of goals and assists even more impressive.

When will Nypan make a decision regarding his future?
According to TBR Football, Rosenborg are expecting Nypan to make a decision on his future next month, as the club's Eliteserien campaign is due to finish on December 1.
Man United are believed to be confident that a deal could be done for a fee in the region of £10m, although various add-ons might eventually take the transfer to around £20m.
Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea are also believed to be monitoring Nypan, while there is said to be interest from Germany in the shape of Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.
Nypan revealed in 2023 that he was a Man United fan, telling TV2: "I've always been a Manchester United fan. Then of course there is Real Madrid. I'm a big [Cristiano] Ronaldo fan. It's very unrealistic, but it's the dream."
Meanwhile, the teenager is represented by Rafaela Pimenta, who engineered moves for Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt to Man United from Bayern Munich during the summer transfer window.
Nypan has a contract at Rosenborg until December 2026, with his release clause said to be €100m (£83m).
