Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain prepare to go head to head for the signature of Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele, according to a report.

Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly preparing to go head-to-head for the signature of Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele on a free transfer.

The France international stayed at Camp Nou in January despite a host of speculation, but his contract with the Catalan giants is set to expire at the end of June.

Barcelona boss Xavi recently opened the door to the World Cup winner signing a new deal, but as it stands, he will be leaving the La Liga outfit on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Manchester United and Juventus are among the clubs to be linked with the 24-year-old, but according to 90min, two other teams are currently leading the race for his signature.

The report claims that Chelsea are 'continuing talks' with the attacker's representatives over a potential move to Stamford Bridge, but the Blues will face strong competition from PSG.

Dembele, who has recently been brought back into the fold by Barcelona boss Xavi, has scored once and provided three assists in 14 appearances at club level during the 2021-22 campaign.
