Harry Kane will not push for a move away from Tottenham Hotspur during this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Harry Kane will reportedly not push for a move away from Tottenham Hotspur during this summer's transfer window, with the forward determined to leave the club on a positive note.

The England captain has entered the final 12 months of his contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and is currently being heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich.

The Bundesliga club's chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen is said to have met with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy on Thursday to discuss a possible move to Allianz Arena.

However, Tottenham maintain that Kane will not be leaving this summer, with the club prepared to run the risk of him leaving on a free transfer at the end of next season.

Kane returned to pre-season training with Spurs on Wednesday and is believed to have been impressed by Ange Postecoglou, who has become the club's new head coach this summer.

Manchester United had allegedly identified the 29-year-old as their leading centre-forward target for the summer window, but a move to a Premier League rival is thought to be almost impossible.

According to the Evening Standard, despite being open to a summer departure, Kane will not actively attempt to force a move away from Spurs during the summer market.

The report claims that the forward is 'keeping an open mind' and could ultimately decide to leave on a free transfer next year if he is not granted a move in the current window.

Kane has also allegedly not ruled out signing a new contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which could allegedly be worth as much as £400,000 a week.

However, the striker will reportedly not pen a new deal while the transfer window remains open, with Bayern actively pushing to bring him to Allianz Arena.

Kane is thought to have recently met with Bayern head coach Thomas Tuchel at his London home, with the player said to be keen on the idea of moving to Munich.

Spurs would allegedly want over £100m before considering selling their star striker, though, and Bayern's top offer thus far is not thought to have exceeded £70m.

Kane is said to be desperate to leave the club on a positive note when he does eventually depart, so he will not push for an exit this year despite attempting to force a switch to Manchester City in the summer of 2021.

Should the forward remain at Spurs beyond the transfer deadline and refuse to sign a new deal, Bayern would be free to agree a pre-contract with him in January 2024.
