Bayern Munich head coach Thomas Tuchel met with Harry Kane in the Tottenham Hotspur striker's home to discuss a move to Allianz Arena, according to a report.

Bayern Munich head coach Thomas Tuchel reportedly met with Harry Kane in the England captain's home to discuss a possible move to the Bundesliga champions this summer.

Kane's future remains the subject of much speculation, with the striker now having less than 12 months left to run on his contract at Tottenham Hotspur.

The 29-year-old was again in excellent form for Spurs during the 2022-23 campaign, finding the back of the net on 32 occasions in all competitions, with 30 of those goals coming in the Premier League.

However, Tottenham finished down in eighth position in the Premier League table, so there will be no European football at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium during the 2023-24 campaign.

Manchester United had allegedly identified Kane as their leading target for the summer window, but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is highly unlikely to sanction a move to a domestic rival.

Real Madrid were also linked with his services after Karim Benzema's departure, but it is now thought to be unlikely that Los Blancos will make an official move for the Englishman.

Bayern have seemingly emerged as the leading candidates for the forward, with the German giants already believed to have failed with an opening offer of £60m.

There have been suggestions that the Munich outfit would be prepared to go as high as £80m for Kane, although it remains to be seen whether Tottenham agree to sell their star player.

According to Bild, Tuchel recently met Kane in his own home in London to discuss the possibility of joining him at Allianz Arena.

German journalist Christian Falk claims that the Tottenham forward told Tuchel that it would appeal to him to have the chance to win the Champions League with Bayern.

Tuchel is believed to have been in London alongside Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic, with the German champions working hard to secure a deal for the Three Lions skipper.

Kane is Tottenham's all-time leading goalscorer with 280, while he also recently became the highest goalscorer for England, netting 58 times for his country in all competitions.

However, the forward is yet to win a trophy at senior level, and he would have to spend at least one season out of Europe if he were to remain with Tottenham this summer.

Kane is chasing down the scoring record in the Premier League, meanwhile, currently sitting second in the charts on 213, with Alan Shearer at the summit on 260.
