Kai Havertz could reportedly be available for £70m this summer if Bayer Leverkusen fail to qualify for the 2020-21 Champions League.

German attacker Kai Havertz could reportedly be available for £70m this summer if Bayer Leverkusen fail to qualify for the 2020-21 Champions League.

The 21-year-old has been in excellent form at club level during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring 16 times and contributing nine assists in 40 appearances in all competitions.

Chelsea and Manchester United are both allegedly interested in bringing the Germany international to the Premier League during this summer's transfer window.

According to football.london, Leverkusen are currently not prepared to sell Havertz unless they receive an offer of £90m, but the price could drop £20m by the time that the upcoming market opens.

The report claims that Leverkusen's asking price would be closer to £70m if they are unable to secure a top-four finish in the Bundesliga, which has just two rounds of matches left.

The German outfit are currently fourth in the Bundesliga table, one point clear of fifth-placed Borussia Monchengladbach ahead of Saturday's clash with Hertha Berlin.
