Harry Maguire is believed to have sat out training with Leicester City on Monday as speculation continues to mount over a possible move to Manchester United.
The England international had appeared in every session for the Foxes since returning from an extended summer break earlier this month and has also been used regularly in friendly matches, including the full 90 minutes against Stoke City on Saturday.
According to The Mirror, however, Maguire was nowhere to be seen today at the club's Belvoir Drive Training Ground as he called in sick.
Leicester's doctor is said to have advised the 26-year-old, who has also been touted as a target for Manchester City, to stay at home and rest up.
United are rumoured to have had a couple of bids knocked back for Maguire, but they are expected to get a £75m+ deal over the line before the transfer window closes on August 9.
