Manchester United are reportedly keeping tabs on a number of centre-backs ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils have conceded 30 goals in 23 Premier League games this term - the most of any side in the top half of the division.
That is also just six goals short of the amount conceded in the whole of last season when boasting the third-best defensive record in the top flight.
According to the Manchester Evening News, United are concerned about the number of goals that they are letting in and may move for a new defender at the end of the season.
It is claimed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be heavily backed in the summer to bring in the ideal partner for Harry Maguire, who remains the most expensive defender in the world at £80m.
United are said to be looking at Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly, Dayot Upamecano of RB Leipzig and Real Madrid ace Raphael Varane.
Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof are United's current first-choice options to partner Maguire in the heart of defence.
