Manchester United are planning for Paul Pogba to leave Old Trafford on a free transfer this summer, according to a report.

Manchester United are reportedly planning for Paul Pogba to leave Old Trafford this summer despite suggestions that the midfielder could yet sign a new contract.

The France international's deal with the Red Devils is due to expire at the end of June, and the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain continue to be credited with an interest in his services.

A recent report claimed that Pogba is currently happy at Man United under new interim head coach Ralf Rangnick and could be prepared to extend his stay at the club.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the World Cup winner is 'more upbeat', but the 20-time English champions are still preparing for his departure at the end of June.

The report claims that Man United are planning to bring a new central midfielder to Old Trafford this summer as a direct replacement for Pogba.

The 28-year-old, who has recently returned from a thigh problem, has scored once and provided eight assists in 17 appearances at club level during the 2021-22 campaign.

Pogba is allegedly open to offers from other Premier League sides this summer, with Manchester City among the clubs to have previously been credited with an interest in his services.
