Manchester United are reportedly planning to make it difficult for Real Madrid to sign David de Gea this summer by enquiring about seven of their players, including Cristiano Ronaldo.
For some time now the Spanish giants have been heavily linked with De Gea, who is believed to be interested in a return to his homeland.
Due to United's desire to keep hold of their shot-stopper, who was named the club's Player of the Year last month, it is believed that executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward will demand a fee in excess of £25m, as well as asking about the availability of numerous first-team stars.
According to the Daily Mail, Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Luka Modric, Karim Benzema, Dani Carvajal, Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos could all be on United's list as they try to stop Madrid from taking De Gea on their own terms.
The Premier League club's rumoured interest in Ramos has made headlines of late as the Spain international is believed to be unhappy with his contract situation at the Bernabeu.
However, there have been suggestions that Ramos is using United as a bargaining chip to get an improved contract from Real.
