Manchester United will reportedly have to splash out £52m to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana this summer.

Manchester United have reportedly been informed that they will need to splash out €60m (£52m) to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.

The Red Devils are on the lookout for a first-choice goalkeeper, with David de Gea's future currently in the balance.

The Spaniard has less than seven days remaining on his contract, and an agreement is yet to be reached on a new deal.

Man United are prepared to keep De Gea, but he would have to accept a significant pay cut to his current £375,000 a week wages.

With De Gea's future at Old Trafford shrouded in uncertainty, the Red Devils are drawing up plans for his possible departure.

Onana, who is under contract with Inter until June 2027, has emerged as a transfer target for Erik ten Hag's side.

A recent report claimed that Man United have held exploratory talks with the goalkeeper's agent Albert Botines over a potential transfer.

According to 90min, Inter have made it clear that it will take a fee in the region of €60m (£52m) to prise Onana away from the Italian club.

Chelsea were also linked with the Inter goalkeeper, but their interest has cooled after being put off by the asking price.

Onana previously played under Ten Hag at Ajax, winning multiple trophies with the current Man United boss, including three Eredivisie titles.

The Cameroonian kept 19 clean sheets in 41 competitive appearances in his first season with Inter, helping his side win the Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup.

Man United have also been linked with Diogo Costa and David Raya, who currently play for Porto and Brentford respectively.

They have kept tabs on Empoli goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, but he is on the verge of signing for Tottenham Hotspur.
