West Ham United first-team coach Kevin Nolan expects Bayern Munich's Harry Kane to return to the Premier League with Manchester United.

West Ham United first-team coach Kevin Nolan is expecting Harry Kane to return to the Premier League with Manchester United before the end of his career.

Kane, 30, left Tottenham Hotspur last summer to make the move to Bayern Munich, and he has been in impressive form for the Bundesliga giants this term, scoring 36 goals and registering 11 assists in 34 appearances.

The England captain left Spurs in search of major trophies, and Bayern are in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, but Thomas Tuchel's side are second in the Bundesliga table, seven points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen, who have a game in hand.

There have been suggestions that Kane could seek a return to the Premier League this summer, with both Man United and Chelsea said to be keeping a close eye on the developments.

A recent report claimed that the Three Lions skipper is not expected to return to England this summer despite the speculation surrounding his future.

However, Nolan is of the opinion that a switch back to the Premier League is on the cards and said that Man United "will be his destination".

"I can certainly see him back in the Premier League. I don't think Tottenham would have ever sold him to Manchester United," Nolan told talkSPORT.

"But for him to go to Bayern Munich, then it's easier for him to come back from Germany, and I think Man United will be his destination.

"I think they [Bayern] would want their money back. Of course, [he is worth it]. 20-plus goals every season, and he was playing for Tottenham during them times as well. Realistically, are Man United as good as Tottenham?

"But I just think he brings a different aura to them anyway, a different aura to the team as soon as he puts the shirt on for whoever. I probably think Man United would be the one."

Kane penned a four-year deal with Bayern upon his arrival from Spurs last August, moving to the club off the back of scoring 280 goals and registering 64 assists in 432 appearances for the North London outfit.

The forward has scored 213 times in the Premier League, putting him second in the all-time list behind Alan Shearer (260), and he allegedly still has hopes of taking the record before the end of his career.

Man United are expected to move for a new centre-forward this summer to provide support for Rasmus Hojlund, with Anthony Martial set to depart Old Trafford on a free transfer at the end of June.
