Borussia Monchengladbach manager Lucien Favre believes that his side fully deserved their point from last night's Europa League trip to Marseille.
Juan Arango's goal deep into injury time ensured a share of the spoils at the Stade Velodrome, giving the Bundesliga outfit a slight advantage in the race to qualify from Group C.
"It was a really exciting game," Ligue1.com quotes Favre as saying. "We were 1-0 up at the break and we deserved our lead because Marseille left acres of space in behind at times.
"If we had taken our chances on the break, we could have been 2-0 up. Then we started to show fear at the start of the second half, gave too many balls away and Marseille took full advantage. But it is very, very positive to come back to 2-2 after being behind.
"We deserved our equaliser. We gave our all and the players never stopped believing. The group remains wide open."
Die Fohlem sit 11th in the Bundesliga following a poor start to the campaign.
