Remy Cabella: "We'll try to pull ourselves together"

Montepllier HSC midfielder Remy Cabella says that he wants to become one of the best players in France.

Montpellier HSC star Remy Cabella has urged his teammates to "do something really special" to rescue what remains of their Ligue 1 campaign.

The reigning champions have endured something of a hangover since last season's stunning triumph and now find themselves back in familiar territory in 13th place.

However, Cabella believes that La Pallaide have enough in their arsenal to turn their season around.

"We'll try to pull ourselves together and we need to do something really special because the situation is very difficult," the 22-year-old told Ligue1.com.

"We'll do it because we've got a good squad with good men in it and I think we'll do everything to get back on track."

Cabella has been a shining light for Rene Girard's men this season, earning rave reviews for his performances both domestically and in the Champions League.

The French Under-21 international stated his ambition to become one of the best players in the country.

"Everything's going well even if the results haven't been good at times," he added. "I feel good and I'm full of confidence.

"My performances have been there for everyone to see and I'm happy because I know I'm doing my job and progressing every day.

"I want to be one of the best players in Ligue 1. That's a personal objective."

The young midfielder came through the youth ranks at Montpellier before making his debut in 2009.
