Lee Clark praises his Huddersfield players after they set a new unbeaten Football League record of 43 games.

Huddersfield Town manager Lee Clark has praised his players after they set a new unbeaten record in the Football League.

The Terriers eclipsed the previous record of Brian Clough's Nottingham Forest by picking up their 43rd game without defeat with victory over Notts County yesterday.

"I'm immensely proud of the players, not just because of the record but because of the three points and because we played the last 30 minutes with 10 men," said Clark.

"The players looked nervous and apprehensive in the first half and I just told them to relax and stay positive."

"The last 25 minutes seemed like 25 years! If I had had one of those heart monitors on, it would have gone through the roof."

Huddersfield's next target will be the 49-game run of the 'Invincible' Arsenal team of 2003/04, which they can broach at Wycombe on January 6.
