Nice coach Claude Puel has suggested that Niklas Hult's red card before half time ended their game with Paris Saint-Germain as a contest.
OGC were trailing 1-0 when Hult brought down Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the Swede was running towards goal and was duly dismissed.
However, despite ultimately losing 3-0 at the Allianz Riviera, Puel is looking to move on from the defeat.
He is quoted by Ligue 1's official website as saying: "We produced a promising display. We caused them problems, they had to use long balls and we gave them few chances, but with three opportunities, they scored twice in a nightmare end to the first half.
"The red card ended the game. For me, this game doesn't count, you can't analyse it. If we had finished 3-0 with 11 against 11, there are things to be learned, but like this, we're just going to move on."
Nice are currently one point behind fourth-placed Lyon.
