Hector Herrera has claimed that Porto are targeting a Champions League final appearance after beating Basel in the last 16 of the competition.
A comfortable 4-0 victory on Tuesday night handed Porto a 5-1 aggregate success over the Swiss club, but Herrera insists that Julen Lopetegui's side will not settle for reaching the quarter-finals for the first time since 2009.
"We have achieved a beautiful goal and it's very important for the players and for the club to be among the top eight teams in Europe," the Mexican told Record.
"We must continue to work in this way to stay in the competition. We're not only thinking of the quarter-finals, we're thinking of reaching the final.
"In the Champions League, any team can surprise you."
Despite the win, there was concern for Porto on the night when it was confirmed that captain Danilo had been taken to hospital after a collision with teammate Fabiano.
