Paris Saint-Germain will not have Lionel Messi at their disposal for Sunday's Ligue 1 clash with Lyon.
The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner has now returned a negative coronavirus test and was thought to have a good chance of rejoining his teammates for the trip to the Groupama Stadium.
However, PSG's latest medical update revealed that Messi is still not taking part in team training and will miss Sunday's game as he continues to recover individually.
The update on the official PSG website read: "Lionel Messi will continue his individual post-Covid recovery programme in the coming days."
Angel Di Maria remains in isolation alongside Gianluigi Donnarumma, Danilo Pereira, Julian Draxler and Layvin Kurzawa, while Abdou Diallo, Idrissa Gueye and Achraf Hakimi are away at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Neymar is also three weeks from returning to training as he battles with a serious ankle problem, as PSG seek to maintain or increase their 10-point lead at the top of the Ligue 1 table.
Messi only has one goal from 11 top-flight appearances this term and could supposedly look to force an exit if PSG fail to win the Champions League.
