Saturday's Ligue 1 predictions including Paris Saint-Germain vs. Strasbourg

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Ligue 1 fixtures, including Paris Saint-Germain vs. Strasbourg.

Brest vs. Rennes (Saturday, 4.00pm)

In-form Brest welcome Rennes to the Stade Francis-Le Ble for the first top-flight Breton derby of the season on Saturday.

The hosts currently sit second in the lengthy Champions League table, and transferred that form over into Ligue 1 before the international break.

We say: Brest 1-1 Rennes

Rennes have lost all three away games so far this season, and Brest have won four in a row at home in all competitions, meaning the hosts will be favourites, but it should not be all doom and gloom for the visitors.

Brest have a huge game against Leverkusen in midweek, and Rennes have scored in all seven games so far, so there are positives for them to cling onto, plus it is never wise to look at the form table when predicting the outcome of a derby.

St Etienne vs. Lens (Saturday, 6.00pm)

Newly-promoted Saint-Etienne welcome Lens to the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard in Ligue 1 on Saturday evening.

Les Verts have responded stoically to a humbling defeat last month, while Lens are in the midst of a strange streak of results.

We say: Saint-Etienne 0-1 Lens

Dall'Oglio was reportedly on the brink before St Etienne's win over Auxerre, but after saving his job with that victory, this will be a much tougher assignment.

Lens may have drawn their last five games in the league, but they certainly have the quality here to claim a first win since gameweek two against one of the favourites for relegation.

PSG vs. Strasbourg (Saturday, 8.00pm)

Luis Enrique will be looking for a response from his Paris Saint-Germain side when they host Strasbourg in the Saturday night game in Ligue 1 this weekend.

The French champions relinquished top spot shortly before the international break, as Monaco pounced on PSG's inability to get past Nice.

We say: Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 Strasbourg

Strasbourg have been one of the overachievers in the early weeks of the campaign, but their away form and record at PSG gives them little chance here.

PSG have never lost in 33 previous home clashes with their upcoming opponents, and they are set to maintain their 100% home record so far this season, having already won four from four here in all competitions.
