Paris Saint-Germain have extended their lead at the top of Ligue 1 to seven points thanks to Friday night's 3-0 win over Nice at the Parc des Princes.
The hosts got off to the perfect start as, just three minutes in, Angel Di Maria whipped a free kick to the near post, where Edinson Cavani was on hand to send a diving header beyond the reach of Walter Benitez.
Cavani and Di Maria combined once again just after the half-hour mark for PSG's second as the Uruguayan beat the offside trap and latched on to the Argentine's lob over the top before poking the ball past the oncoming Benitez and slotting into the empty net.
Nice did well to get to half time without conceding a third time, with Benitez throwing himself across his goal to deny Di Maria a seemingly certain goal after a cutback from the left in the 39th minute.
However, the visitors added an insurmountable third just six minutes after the restart as Yuri Berchiche's diagonal ball to the far post was flicked back towards centre by Cavani before coming off Eaglets defender Dante under pressure from Dani Alves.
Lucien Favre's charges remained under siege for the remainder of the game as Kylian Mbappe drilled a shot wide in the 56th minute before striking the post just after the hour, while Di Maria and Lucas Moura also enjoyed further chances before the full-time whistle.
