Harry Redknapp has confirmed that he hopes to be appointed as the new Queens Park Rangers manager later tonight.
Redknapp has been in talks with QPR for much of today following the sacking of Mark Hughes this morning and his representatives are thought to be close to agreeing a deal.
He told Sky Sports News: "It's a big challenge. It will be a tough job to take on but I'll give it everything.
"I love a challenge so hopefully they'll get it all sorted tonight. It will be a privilege to go in there and do the job."
"I'll be the happiest man in the world if I can keep them up."
Redknapp admitted that he hopes to bring in regular coaching assistants Kevin Bond and Joe Jordan at Loftus Road.
The former Tottenham Hotspur boss also revealed that he will attend QPR's match against Manchester United this weekend.
