Paris Saint-Germain 'trying to force Neymar, Gareth Bale swap deal'

Paris Saint-Germain reportedly approach Real Madrid with a deal which would take Neymar to the Bernabeu and send Gareth Bale in the opposite direction.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly approached Real Madrid with a proposal to swap Neymar for Gareth Bale this summer.

Neymar's future in the French capital looks increasingly uncertain following a breakdown in the relationship between the player and the club, made worse by his late return to pre-season training.

Barcelona have been heavily linked with a move for the Brazilian but are struggling to afford him after signing Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid for £107m earlier this month.

Real Madrid are another club to have been credited with an interest in bringing Neymar back to Spain, and The Independent reports that PSG are interested in a swap deal with Bale.

Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has confirmed that the Spanish giants are looking to offload the Welshman during the current transfer window, although Bale himself does not want to leave the club.

Beijing Guoan are understood to have offered the winger a £1m-a-week contract, but his preference would be to continue playing at the top level in Europe.

Bale could therefore be open to joining PSG, who reportedly saw a similar proposal rejected by Manchester United with Paul Pogba moving in the opposite direction.
