Beijing Guoan have reportedly offered Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale a £1m-a-week contract to make the move to the Chinese Super League.
Bale was left out of the Madrid squad for their pre-season clash against Bayern Munich on Saturday night, with Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane revealing that the Wales international was close to leaving the club.
Manchester United have reportedly turned down the chance to sign the 30-year-old this summer.
However, according to The Mirror, the former Southampton youngster has been offered a mouthwatering £1m-a-week contract after tax to make the move to China.
Bale's wages at Madrid are believed to be in excess of £600,000 a week, but Beijing Guoan are reportedly prepared to make the attacker the highest-paid player in world football ahead of Lionel Messi.
The Chinese transfer window will slam shut at the end of this month.
